Henrik Lindhjem

Henrik Lindhjem is a partner in Menon Economics. He holds a PhD in Environmental and Resource Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and master's degrees in Environment and Development from the University of Cambridge and in Economics from the University of Oslo. He has over 20 years of experience in economic analyses and methodology development related to valuation of impacts of economic activities, particularly on nature, environment, climate, and health. He has also worked extensively on designing effective and acceptable public instruments and incentives to account for such impacts in various decision-making processes. He possesses strong methodological skills in mapping stakeholders' preferences and values through surveys. At Menon, he is actively involved in national and international research projects, which are utilized to meet the knowledge needs of Norwegian authorities and other stakeholders. His research is regularly published in leading academic journals (Google Scholar). He is widely used as a quality assurer and advisor for international forums such as the OECD and the EU’s research programs.
