Jonas Erraia

Jonas Erraia
Jonas Erraia is a partner at Menon Economics, specializing in the green transition of businesses and international trade. He has 10 years of experience conducting complex and quantitative economic analyses. In recent years, Jonas has focused particularly on projects related to the green transition. He has developed expertise in the significance and development of emerging industries such as batteries, offshore wind, and hydrogen, as well as the transformation of existing industries. He has used this expertise to advise governments and organizations in Norway and abroad on the opportunities and challenges of the green transition. A key focus of his work has been how to lay the groundwork for economic development in less populated regions. Jonas is also an expert in international trade. Each year, he assists ministries, embassies, and organizations in understanding how Norwegian businesses are affected by the international trade system and regulatory frameworks in other countries. One of Jonas’ greatest strengths is his ability to communicate complex issues in an accessible way. This skill has led to frequent invitations to speak at conferences and on podcasts. He holds a degree in macroeconomics from the University of London and the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and has experience from institutions such as Norges Bank, Deloitte, and the Danish Ministry of Taxation. Alongside his work at Menon, Jonas shares his practical insights as a lecturer at Copenhagen Business School and the University of Oslo, where he leads master’s courses in time series econometrics and machine learning.
