Trygve Leithe Svalheim
Trygve Leithe Svalheim is a data scientist at Menon Economics and holds a PhD in Cosmology from the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics. At Menon, he specializes in artificial intelligence, geographic analysis (GIS), non-priced impacts, and the visualization of complex datasets. With many years of experience in programming and data analysis, he has guided both public agencies and private companies in conducting complex quantitative assessments and developing technological solutions.
Trygve has led projects evaluating the implications of AI on the workforce, developing models for analyzing non-priced impacts in infrastructure projects, and providing strategic advisory and technical development of machine learning models and web applications. One of his significant projects includes his work for the labor organization Delta, where he analyzed the implications of artificial intelligence for its members. For the National Police Directorate, he developed a response time model to estimate police resource needs in meeting emergency response requirements. Similarly, he conducted a project for the Norwegian Directorate of Health, focusing on identifying optimal locations for emergency medical services.
Trygve is known for combining deep technical expertise with strong communication skills and enthusiasm, which has led to multiple invitations as an expert panelist on Abels tårn, a popular Norwegian science program.
