We assist the Norwegian Armed Forces with advice, assessments, quality assurance, method development and guidance across all branches of defence. Even with increased budgets, the Norwegian Armed Forces continuously need to make difficult prioritisations under significant uncertainty. We focus on facilitating well-informed and dynamic decisions in the best way possible.

We also provide analyses and advice to various key actors in the Norwegian defence industry. This includes analyses of everything from market opportunities and economic impact to competence development and preparedness effects.

Within the ‘blue light’ sector, we have analysed new emergency networks and response times within fire and rescue, ambulance services and the police. We have also evaluated the national emergency response centre of the police.

Preparedness affects all sectors, and Menon also evaluates risk-reducing measures across different areas, including health and welfare, IT preparedness and agriculture supply security. Simultaneously, Menon works continuously to further develop methods and the information bases related to weather and natural hazards.
