Emira is educated as an economist from the University of Oslo (UIO), with a bachelor’s degree in development studies and a master’s degree in economics. During her studies, she acquired knowledge in qualitative methods through fieldwork in Rwanda, which she conducted as a part of her bachelor’s thesis. She also has experience in data processing and analysis from her master’s thesis, where she performed an empirical analysis to investigate the effect of access to HIV medication on knowledge and stigma surrounding HIV in Malawi.
In her previous positions, Emira worked with data collection as a project assistant at Samfunnsøkonomisk Analyse and as a research assistant at the Frisch Centre. She also has experience in academic dissemination as a seminar leader at UiO.
Emira started at Menon in August 2024.
