Mikael has a degree in Economics from the University of Oslo. Included in the degree was an exchange semester at Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna, where he, among other things, took courses in the second cycle degrees of Economics and Economic Policy, International Management and Health Economics and Management. Before that, he took a bachelor’s degree at UiO in Mathematics and Economics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The bachelor’s degree provided a solid foundation for analytical skills with strong proficiency in mathematics and statistics.

Previously, he worked two periods at KLP in the department of social responsibility, with a focus on climate and environmental adaptation. There, he was part of a highly skilled and dedicated team in the important work of green transition. Mikael started as an analyst at Menon Economics in August 2024.
