Per has been with Menon Economics since 2018. He holds a degree in economics with specialization in econometrics from NTNU, with an exchange year at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
At Menon, Per has worked on a variety of themes and methods, with a particular focus on capital, industrial organization, entrepreneurship, and innovation. He has extensive experience in analyses of businesses both in the form of industrial analyses, ripple effects and value creation analyses.
Through ownership analyses and analyses of private equity and venture funds, Per has built up knowledge of the Norwegian innovation ecosystem and the investment ecosystem. In addition, he has participated in several evaluations of public support schemes for businesses and analysis of start-up environments, with a particular focus on innovation and growth potential. Per has carried out regional industry analyses where methods such as “smart specialisation” are used to identify industries with potential for growth.
Per is methodologically strong and has expertise in data analysis and modelling, with everything from compilation of large data sets from various sources and data processing, to comprehensive quantitative analyses of register data.
